Crow Pose

Crow Pose, or Bakasana, is a foundational arm balance in yoga that requires strength, balance, and focus. It involves balancing your body weight on your hands while your knees rest on your upper arms, creating a compact and dynamic posture resembling a crow.

Key Points:

  1. Alignment:
    • Hands shoulder-width apart, fingers spread wide for stability.
    • Knees placed high on the triceps or just outside the arms for balance.
    • Gaze forward to maintain focus and avoid tipping over.

  2. Engagement:
    • Activate the core to lift and stabilize the body.
    • Press firmly into the hands to engage the shoulders and arms.
    • Keep the back rounded slightly to maintain a compact shape.

  3. Balance:
    • Shift your weight forward gradually, keeping the elbows bent like a chaturanga.
    • Lift one foot at a time, or both, keeping the toes pointed or crossed.

  4. Breath:
    • Use steady and deep breathing to stay calm and focused during the pose.
