Introduction to Calisthenics

Calisthenics is one of the best ways to move the body, as all you need is the body. These tutorials flow through beginner to advanced. This is the main way I build strength through the body, by moving my body naturally with what is around me.

The greatest thing about calisthenics is all you need is something to hang onto and the ground, and you can practice these movements, whenever and wherever. Remember to breathe in on the easiest part of the movement, which is usually the expansion and exhale on the contraction. Normally it’s inhale on the easiest part of the movement and exhale on the harder.

For instance with a push up, inhale on the way down and exhale on the way up. When you’re doing holds and dynamic movements, focus on the breath and continuously breathe.
