Introduction to Weights
The gym is where I began my fitness journey, everyone should be lifting some weights. Remember it’s all about creating balance within the strength, flexibility and mobility and one of the best ways to build solid strength is to lift weights. The main focus with weights is chest, core, legs and lower back, which is included in the tutorials below. If you don’t have a gym nearby or want to stick to calisthenics, that’s completely fine and you’ll still have significant results with the rest of the modalities. This is just an add on for those that would like to learn more about weighted training. As always with the breath, breathe in on the easiest section in the rep, which is normally the expansion and breathe out on the hardest section in the rep, normally that’s the contraction. If you are going to the gym, separate the days by muscle groups, i like to do chest/ triceps - back/ biceps - legs/lower back and core all throughout it.
