Getting To Know The App

How to use Auto Generated Captions

Download CapCut and Repost. Go into Instagram and find the voiceover/audio you want to use. Copy the link of the video by selecting the send button on the video and, instead of sending it to someone, copy the link. Go into the Repost app and press accept to download. Save the video.

Next, open CapCut, import your own video, go into Sounds, press extracted, and click on the video that you downloaded with the audio. Now that audio is in your video. Click on Text and then Auto-Generated Caption, select your style, and add captions. Place the captions in the middle or somewhere visible. Create the video in CapCut; it's very easy to use, and the more experience you have, the better you'll become. Save the video once it's done.

Go into Instagram and create your reel. You can either select the audio and use the original voiceover or place your own in. At times, it's best to just use what's already there, as that tends to get more traction. Simultaneously, if you add your own audio (meaning the same audio under your profile), and many people use it, it's a huge win.

How to turn your account into a business/creator account

1. Go to your profile and tap in the upper right corner.

2. Tap Settings and privacy.

3. Tap Account type and tools.

4. Tap Switch to a professional account.

5. Tap Continue.

6. Select a Category for your business and tap Done.

7. Tap OK to confirm.8. Tap Business or Creator.

Before posting, go into preview and make sure the captions are not over your profile name. the right hand side, like, comment and share functions.

Make your cover photo as neat as it can be, also this is how you can add another photo in, it doesn’t always need to be from the video.

There’s many topics to choose from, pick the three that resonate with what you’re offering and showing to the world. At times we don’t need to add topics, some of my biggest videos had no topics attached. I always do the right hashtags though, you only need to do 3 min and max 18.

Keys for growth

1. Make your profile picture the best photo of yourself, something that captures people's attention.

2. Turn your account into a business or creator type.

3. Quality of video, composition and lighting.

4. Make the first 3 - 5 seconds the best it can be, people don’t stick around unless the beginning makes them.

5. Have a long caption that educates people, the aim is for them to save the video.

6. Don’t aim for perfection when you haven’t even started, begin and overtime the product will only get better.

7. Make sure the cover photo is in the right position.8. Add the right hashtags and topics.9. Invest in a phone that has the feature “cinematic” or a camera.10. Learn how to edit videos, a skill not many have the patience for.11. Utilise highlights and optimise this function; have what you offer there.12. Have your bio the words that sum up your page, what are you here to share/ offer/ create?13. Don’t follow people that don’t ignite you, or support you, follow people that inspire you.14. Focus on reels, study what’s worked for others and make it happen with you.15. Have an emailing list/ funnel.16. When a post expands further than the rest, you can see traction, focus on content similar to what “worked”. 17. Share stories of your favourite music, business, pages etc - tag them in it and they may re-share.18. See if you can collaborate with accounts that resonate, yet don’t push it, let it happen naturally.19. Know that there’s a method to expansion, place your creativity within it and see how far you can go.

How to actually gain followers/ get your account seen

1. A Reel/Post goes into the algorithm and resonates, then is seen by users of the platform; goes viral..

2. Collaborating with business and getting featured on their page.

3. People sharing your content, give them a reason to share it.

4. Tagging an account in your story, if they re-share you’ll be seen by their community.

5. The algorithm resonates with accounts that post consistently.

6. Learning about what works and having the courage/ discipline to do it.

7. If your Reel is 9 seconds long and most stick around to watch it again and again, the play time on the video is averaging the whole 9 seconds, when this happens the algorithm sees this and pushes your content into the explore feed; it’s all about play time, how long can you get someone to stay on your post for? This is why writing a long educational caption is a key.

8. A paid marketing campaign, something I haven’t done, yet will definitely be doing.

People only follow when you have a profile to look at, if you don’t have too much on your account then there’s less chance of growing your community. I have seen accounts rise with not too much to their profile, yet their videos were elite and like no other, be the unique self that you are, share your passion and gift with the world.
