Who Is Your Community?

Your community will naturally form over time; don’t fixate on who's following. Share your passion and see who resonates. There are many people who don’t follow anyone, and I don’t see the point in that. It's an interactive app; connect with resonating accounts.

When people begin to comment and share your posts, engage back with a comment. When you upload, it’s great to comment back straight away, especially in the first hour. This drives conversation and engagement. If you have a post in which people read the comments, watch the video again and again, and also read the insightful caption you wrote, the algorithm will notice this and help with expansion.

Follow the people you feel you would connect with in real life. Don’t follow and unfollow a heap of people; it’s a waste of time. Don’t like a heap of photos expecting you’ll get more likes and followers.

Make a plan, follow the formula, and be consistent.

Do your best to make it for everyone, yet be true to you; share your truth.

If you’re being fake and do your best to please every individual by not being you, you’ll be liked.

If you’re genuine and speak your truth, you’ll be loved and hated. When you grow an account, there will always be love and hate. Know that it’s okay to block and restrict people; you have the power that decides what energy comes in.

When there’s a debate on a post, let it flow and don’t take sides. The posts that expanded the most for me were those where people debated in the comments section. Don’t aim for a debate; just share your passion within your truth and see what happens.
