Uluwatu

Uluwatu is one of the most iconic and stunning destinations on the island of Bali, Indonesia. Perched on the southern tip of the Bukit Peninsula, this enchanting area is renowned for its dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear waters, world-class surf breaks, and spiritual charm. Whether you're looking to relax, surf, or immerse yourself in Bali's rich culture, Uluwatu offers something for everyone.

Uluwatu's Beaches

Uluwatu is best known for its excellent surf spots, drawing surfers from around the globe. The area has beaches with powerful waves, making it a top destination for both beginners and experienced surfers.

Nyang Nyang Beach

One of the nicest beaches we’ve been to, it is a mission to get up and down the hill, so if you’re not confident within driving down on a scooter and don’t want to walk down and up some big hills, it may not be for you. Also this beach can have some big waves, yet overall is was one of our favourites. If you want to the far left when looking at the beach it’s more quiet and there can be some rock pools.

Thomas Beach

This beach is best for low tide, as you can walk around the side to some hidden caves, when it’s high tide there’s not all too much sand to play on.

Karma beach

A more quiet beach that can offer less waves, crystal blue waters and a peaceful experience, another one of our favourites.

Padang Padang Beach

This small, golden-sand beach is one of the most famous in Uluwatu, often featured in surf videos. It's also a favorite for sunbathers and those wanting a beautiful place to swim.

Suluban Beach (Blue Point)

Known for its caves and tunnels leading to the beach, Suluban is another must-see spot. It's a bit tricky to access (you have to climb down through a narrow cave), but the view and the surf are incredible.

Where to eat:

We found that Karma Free, Alchemy and Forage had the best food for us, mostly organic, good energy and environment.
